Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:  

• Configure, install, maintain, and provide support for critical software and hardware components of our VMware virtualization environment.

• Responsible for end-to-end Windows Server management, including patch management, security update implementation and performance monitoring and tuning across development, test, and production environments.

• Administration and management of storage platforms including Pure Storage arrays, Isilon file system appliances and Egnyte cloud-based file systems and client applications.

• Coordinate and partner with developers, network engineers, and administrators.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with enterprise-level system administration and support.

• Strong experience with VMWare virtualization technologies (vSphere 8.02).

• Strong experience managing a Cisco UCS compute environment.

• Strong experience with Enterprise storage SAN and NAS, iSCSI block and object solutions (Pure Storage FlashArray, FlashBlade, Dell EMC Isilon a plus).

• Deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP & DFS and Windows clustering.

• Strong experience with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation (ZertoSRM and array-based replication technologies).

• Scripting knowledge of PowerShell required. Experience with automation platforms such as Ansible a plus.

• Working knowledge of LAN, Routing, Switching, IP Networking, VPN technologies, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 protocols.
